- Telecommunications Outdoor Connector
TOC stands for Telecommunications Outdoor Connectors. That means: When maximum reliability is important, even under extreme environmental conditions, users rely on TOC connectors by Telegärtner. With the handy, easy to install connectors, long-term reliable connections can be easily implemented, regardless of whether its copper or fiber optics cabling. Whether in the classic version with nickel-plated brass or in stainless steel: TOC works where others have long had to give up. Without compromises. The stainless steel version offers an even more robust housing that also meets special requirements in the food and chemical industries.
For years, TOC connectors by Telegärtner have proven themselves in harsh environments. Ordinary IP67 rated industrial connectors offer protection against ingress of dust and moisture for indoor applications, but in outdoor applications there are additional, tougher conditions ordinary industrial connectors cannot support. Outdoor connectors have to be – weatherproof – frost-proof – UV-resistant. And they have to be absolutely water-tight to withstand continuous rain and submersion in puddles or mud. These require an IP68 rating.The robust housing made of nickel-plated brass is tough yet easy to install – closing, sealing and locking with just one twist.
The stainless steel TOC series takes connetions to a new level. It offers all the benefits of the proven TOC connector series with nickel-plated brass housing and adds a lot more: The stainless steel housing (material quality 1.4404) is designed for extreme conditions.
TOC stainless steel connectors are:

Case Study: Reliable Video Surveillance at Petrol Stations
Challenge
Outdoor surveillance cameras at several petrol stations were repeatedly failing. The cause was an inadequately protected cabling system that could not withstand the harsh environmental conditions and vandalism in the long term.
The consequences were significant: if the mandatory video surveillance could not be fully guaranteed, fuel sales were temporarily prohibited. In addition to additional maintenance work, this also threatened direct losses in revenue.

To ensure the long-term availability of the surveillance systems, the existing connections were protected using TOC outdoor connectors from Telegärtner.

The TOC series RJ45 coming with the field-assembly RJ45 plug MFP8 Cat.6A and RJ45 keystone AMJ-S Module Cat.6A is available as a set. They can be attached to solid and stranded conductor cables with cable outer diameter max. 9.5 mm on site without the need for special tools. For line extensions, the TOC Coupler IP69K is your first choice. It can be easily integrated with no negative effects on performance of the connection.

LC Duplex
The TOC Series with LC Duplex captivates due to its flexibility and ease of installation. Customers can work with pre-terminated cables that feed into the TOC plug.
By means of the elongated release latch the plugs can be mated & unmated into SFP transceivers or adaptors effortlessly even in confined installation environments. In addition, the several installation positions of SFP transceivers no longer form a problem. For line extensions, the TOC Coupler IP69K is your first choice. It can be easily integrated with no effective effects on performance of the connection.
