Telegartner presents the new unshielded RJ45 module: UMJ-S Cat.6

Steinenbronn, March 01, 2026: Telegartner’s new UMJ-S Cat.6 module can be installed particularly quickly and easily and offer a terrific overall cost effectiveness.

The UMJ-S Cat.6 module exceeds the category 6 specs of EN 50173, ISO/IEC 11801 and ANSI/TIA-568.2 by far, which is verified by the ETL mark of the independent test lab Intertek. Channels containing the UMS-S Cat.6 even passed the strict class E_A Alien Crosstalk tests.

The mounting of the module was optimized: No need to untwist the wire pairs for inserting them into the wire manager. The latter has two grip grooves per wire to hold it extra steadily in position. To connect the wires the two hinged housing parts just have to be folded with the fingers. The hinged dented latch provides reliable cable strain relief.

“Not every application needs 10 Gigabits per second”, says Jasmin Hofbauer, product manager at Telegartner. “The new UMJ-S Cat.6 is the ideal solution for projects that face an enormous cost press and where 1 Gigabits per second is enough. The unshielded design demands no changes of the electrical or bonding apparatus in legacy buildings, which in conjunction with the particularly quick and easy installation lowers costs tremendously. Regarding overall costs, the UMJ-S Cat.6 is one of the most efficient RJ45 modules on the market, which makes it the perfect solution for retrofit cabling in legacy buildings, for cost-effective cabling with short-term usage and makeshift arrangements.”

The new UMJ-S cat.6 is UL listed and covered by Telegartner’s 25 years extended system warranty.
