Telegärtner UK understands how significant it is that UK firms help to raise money for those in need. Additionally, we here at Telegärtner want to raise awareness and support charities all across the UK.
When considering how much the British public love The Great British Bake Off, it made sense to create a charity support campaign around a cake sale. The charity we decided to support this time around was Macmillan Cancer Support. Macmillan understands how a cancer diagnosis can affect everything and they provide support to cancer patients to help take back some control in their life through offering help with financial worries, advise on work and simply offering someone to talk to while undergoing treatment.
Telegärtner UK is very honored to support Macmillan and other charities that help to make people’s standard of living more comfortable in a difficult life situation. We are always open to supporting any charity that can make a positive effect on a person or their families’ life.
The fundraising cake sale went on for two days on 27th and 28th of September, with a variety of different cakes on display. We decided to up the stakes by creating our very own Great British Bake Off style competition. Therefore, each cake was judged by the head of departments on the first day of the event, and on the last day the selection was narrowed down to just four cakes, resulting in the winner being our Commercial Officer Stephanie Kitching and Warehouse Manager Ian Howard, with our Head of HR France Nimanaj and Purchasing Officer Renate Kraft coming in second place. It was a magnificent two days which really made us think that a little effort can go a long way to helping those in need.
Overall we raised a whopping sum for Macmillan and would like to take this time to say thank you to Macmillan for letting us cooperate with them. If there are any other charities that are close to your heart or you feel can provide help to a person’s life, then please let us know and we will be happy to offer a helping hand.
